Salve, lector (vel lectrix)!

Hello! Congratulations on stumbling upon the best, most interesting, most 100%-totally-not-inane blog the internet has to offer!

If you're here, odds are you know me already, but if you don't know what the point of this is, well, I'm going to Oxford for a year to study medieval history and Classics (Latin, etc.). I'll be leaving this coming Friday, and I'll be there from October to March, with some travel interspersed throughout and appended to the end of my stay there.

I haven't much to say in the first post so I'll just leave this introduction as it is and ask you to email me if you have any ideas of what I should do while I'm over there.

I'll have a 9-hour layover in Iceland on my way over, during which I'll be taking photos of the Blue Lagoon and giggling at silly accents. Pictures will definitely follow on my first day overseas. I'll post lower-resolutions ones here with links to my Flickr account, which will have the full-resolution versions if you want to check every little pixel out.

There's a good chance that if I have your email, there's someone next to you, in the same house as you, etc. whose email I don't have but who probably thinks I'm the absolute coolest and would love to hear about my adventures and misadventures, so feel free to pass the URL of my blog around!
